Nike’s Exciting Move: LeBron James Inspires New Liverpool FC Kit
According to a credible source of news and updates on sports apparel, Nike is planning to launch a new Liverpool Football Club kit, inspired by basketball superstar LeBron James.
James, who holds a two percent stake in the club, has a long-standing relationship with Fenway Sports Group, Liverpool’s parent company, and associate Maverick Carter, and is now considered a partner of the group.
This new release comes after Reds Chairman Tom Werner confirmed in 2021 plans to launch a LeBron range to rival Nike’s Air Jordan line. The release date for this new Liverpool x LeBron James-themed kit is expected to be early 2023, and though there are no further details on the design or color, it is said to be part of a larger collection.

Strengthening Athlete-Club Bonds: LeBron James and Nike’s Efforts
This move by Nike is not surprising as James has been previously seen wearing Liverpool kits and gear, and represents the company’s effort to strengthen the connection between one of their most celebrated athletes and the football club.
Air Jordan is one of Nike’s most recognisable ranges, and their association with NBA legend Michael Jordan has seen its use for Paris Saint-Germain kits since 2018.
Nike have also produced special Air Jordan fourth kits for PSG during that time, with Jordan himself receiving a sizeable cut of the profits.
