Former Chelsea and Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is a man under pressure after his side dramatically crashed out of the Europa League recently.
Having squandered a two-goal lead against Dinamo Zagreb, Mourinho’s Spurs are in real danger of missing out on silverware for yet another season.
Their only shot at a trophy this campaign is in the Carabao Cup, where they face Manchester City in the final.
Defeat in the Europa League reduced their routes to Champions League football next season to just one, and they will now have to place among the top four if they are to play amongst Europe’s elite next season.
And according to Sportsmail, things are so bleak for the Special One that he faces the sack if Spurs fail to qualify for the Champions League.
If Spurs finish fifth or below in the table, it will be the end of the road for Mourinho with the North London club.
Spurs are currently in eighth place on the log with 45 points and only 10 games left to play.
The final Champions League spot is occupied by Chelsea, who are a massive eight points ahead of Tottenham.
Julian Nagelsmann, the 33-year-old RB Leipzig boss, is reportedly favorite to take over in the event Mourinho is sacked.
