Nottingham Forest standout, Callum Hudson-Odoi, has refuted unfounded rumors linking him to a visit to Jeffrey Epstein’s island. The former Chelsea winger clarified that he had been mistakenly implicated among the celebrities associated with the notorious child sex trafficker, who passed away in 2019.
Responding to the peculiar posts on social media, the 23-year-old took to Instagram to dismiss the ludicrous gossip.
In a brief statement, Hudson-Odoi labeled the accusations of him visiting Little Saint James in the US Virgin Islands, owned by Epstein until his demise, as “absurd.”
He pointed out the impossibility of such claims, emphasizing that he would have been a child during the alleged timeframe of these trips.
Addressing the circulating rumors, the London-born footballer, who joined Forest in the summer, stated, “I have seen this circulating around social media for a while now, and I wasn’t going to comment on it as it is absurd (and I would’ve been a child at the time). However, understanding my position as a role model, I would like to make it absolutely clear that I have never been part of the Epstein scandal nor have I ever been to Epstein’s island; so please stop tagging me in these posts. Thank you.”
This clarification follows the release of court documents on Wednesday, revealing the names of numerous individuals connected to Epstein.
Public figures such as Prince Andrew and former US President Bill Clinton were among those mentioned in the 900-page document. Both Prince Andrew and President Clinton have vehemently denied any knowledge of Epstein’s crimes.
