Giannis Antetokounmpo’s lighthearted banter triggered a sincere response from Al-Hilal Football Club.
In a social media update on Thursday, the football club based in Saudi Arabia shared an image of a jersey donning Giannis Antetokounmpo’s name. Accompanying the image was Al-Hilal’s message, “We’ve got your jersey ready, @Giannis_An34! Welcome ‘GIANNIS’ to our ever-growing family.”
Antetokounmpo had recently playfully hinted that Al-Hilal should consider recruiting him, alluding to his resemblance to Kylian Mbappé, the renowned star of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

Despite extending a staggering $332 million contract proposal, PSG’s French football prodigy Mbappé declined the offer, choosing to prolong his affiliation with PSG. Instead, the Saudi Arabian football club established a partnership with Neymar Jr., who is also from PSG, for a duration of two years.
In response to Al-Hilal’s tweet, Giannis Antetokounmpo posted an image of himself alongside Neymar, along with the caption, “Unquestionably the finest duo in the Saudi League! 🔥”
Amidst the ongoing transfer window, Al-Hilal is notably making strides in the football landscape. The club recently finalized the acquisition of Yassine Bono from Sevilla and is poised to secure the signature of Aleksandar Mitrović from Fulham.
