Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama has strongly hinted he is not done with socialite Shakila amid a vile attempt to tarnish his name.
Some months ago, Shakila, made some damaging claims against the Montreal Impact midfielder as she alleged Wanyama offered her KSh 700,000 for a good time.
While speaking in an interview on Youtube with Obinja TV, Wanyama was adamant 19-year old Shakila was out of line for trying to drag his name in the mud.
“I have worked so hard for many years to make a name and I have to protect that. I had to seek legal redress over this matter because I also have to protect my family name. I will not speak much about it because my people (lawyers) are still handing it,” he said.
Shakila has since issued an apology to Wanyama over the explosive claims which were made during a live Instagram show with influencer Xtian Dela.
After the incident, Wanyama issued a firm statement denying the claims, while threatening to take legal action against Shakila.
Asked on Obinja TV whether the lawsuit was still on, Wanyama said, “Yes, that’s something that’s still going to happen,”
Wanyama is currently enjoying a short break away from football before the MLS seasons commences once again in April 2021.
