Super Bowl streaker bet on himself and won big. Literally.
Yuri Andrade claims he made a cool $374,000 on a bet – after betting someone would streak during Sunday’s game. That, someone, happened to be him and he made headlines after forcing the game to go for a temporary stop during the fourth quarter of Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.
On Twitter, a leaked DM conversation claims the 31-year-old had put a bet of $50,000 on himself and used a friend as a decoy.
According to leaked messages on Twitter, Andrade, placed a bet on himself and used a friend as a decoy to make a run for it.
“Met the Super Bowl streaker at J. Alexander’s Restaurant while having lunch before leaving Tampa,” read the messages.
“He bet $50,000 on a prop bet at +750 that there would be a streaker at the Super Bowl.
“His buddy went out first as a diversion so he didn’t get caught as quickly as his friend.
“Cost him $1000 to get out of jail so he cleared $374,000 on the bet. No s–t.”
The Associated Press reports Andrade was released early Monday morning after posting $500 bail, according to Hillsborough County jail records. That’s nothing compared to the amount he has just bagged for betting.
