In a surprise meeting in Riyadh, UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou and football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo were spotted spending time together.
The encounter took place while Ronaldo is signed with Saudi Arabian football club Al-Nassr, which is said to be the most lucrative deal in the sport’s history.
The Portuguese international recently made his debut with the team in a friendly match against Paris Saint-Germain, where he put on a dazzling performance.
The meeting has raised speculations on the possible collaboration between the two in the future.
The pair shared a love-in, both posting pictures of their encounter on Instagram, with the Cameroonian-French fighter hailing Cristiano Ronaldo as the ‘goat’, in a continuation of an ongoing dispute about the best footballer around.
Taking to social media, the 37-year-old Portuguese footballer wrote: ‘Great to catch up with world champion @francisngannou today!’
Ngannou, 36, responded: ‘Great chatting with you and thank you for your kind words. very inspirational!’
Ngannou was released from his UFC franchise recently and came to Saudi Arabia to meet up with Ronaldo, who, a few months ago, moved to Al Nassr after terminating his contract with Manchester United.
