Boxer Isiah Jones on Monday was brutally murdered by his brother after an argument.
The boxer reportedly got into a fight with his brother, according to Jones’ trainer Roshawn Jones (who is not related to him) and was allegedly shot at a residence on a street in his hometown of Detroit.
The Detroit Police Department stated that no other information was provided, but that a 28-year-old man with that name was shot and murdered by a relative at 6:26 P.M in the 9300 block of Stout Street.

The death of Isiah, who went professional after winning the 2016 National Golden Gloves and also competed on DAZN, has prompted a murder investigation. Isiah Jones has an amateur record of 52-2 and a professional record of 9-7 (3 knockouts).
Boxing analyst Corey Erdman was one of the first reporters to break the news on Twitter, posting: “Received the horrible news that middleweight Isiah Jones was killed last night. Homicide investigations are reportedly ongoing. He was one of the stars of the Top Rank bubble era on ESPN and fought on DAZN as well.”
