Denis Zakaria made his debut for Chelsea on Wednesday night scoring a goal in the process.
Zakaria, 25, has had to bide his time since joining Chelsea on loan from Juventus in the summer transfer window.
The Switzerland international joined the Blues on loan until the end of the campaign, with the option of a permanent transfer once the season is completed.
However, he has found first-team opportunities hard to come by since arriving at Stamford Bridge.
After failing to make an appearance under former head coach Thomas Tuchel, Zakaria had also been overlooked by his replacement Graham Potter.

The Blues came from behind to round off their successful Champions League Group E campaign with victory against Dinamo Zagreb at Stamford Bridge.
His great use of possession was evident throughout, completing 98 percent of his passes despite having not played a competitive match in over three months. He often drove through midfield, beating dueling players and winning three fouls.
Zakaria, however, was forced off in the 70th minute with an injury but Blues boss Graham Potter confirmed after the match that it was not serious.
With the World Cup in Qatar around the corner, this is a nervous time for many players hoping to feature at the tournament as they look to avoid any late injuries.
