Rapper Drake over the weekend lost a huge sum of money after betting on Arsenal’s victory and Barcelona’s triumph at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The Toronto rapper ended up losing $800,000 after betting that Barcelona would win against Real Madrid but Madrid won 3-1.
If the opposite happened, Drake would have bagged a cool $2,851,100.
The loss further fueled the “Drake Curse” belief which fans and athletes have now started buying into.
Put simply, if Drake wears a team’s shirt, poses for a photo alongside an athlete or has publicly voiced his support for any particular team or person, that team or person will go on to lose – even against the odds!

The rapper’s OVO sign – which stands for October’s Very Own – recently replaced Barcelona’s main sponsor on the front of their shirts.
Barca have lost four of their last five league games against Madrid and could be up against it again due to their involvement with Drake.
The four-time Grammy award winner has often been accused of cursing athletes and sports teams he’s supported in recent years.
