Before their crucial match against Liverpool, a bottle was hurled at Manchester United’s team bus, causing damage.
The Red Devils journeyed to Merseyside to revive their historic rivalry with Jurgen Klopp’s team on Sunday. As the United coach approached Anfield, Liverpool fans lined the streets to intensify the pre-game atmosphere.
A video circulating on social media captures an individual holding a bottle of alcohol, which is subsequently thrown at the bus, connecting with one of the windows and shattering it upon impact.
Liverpool issued a statement condemning the actions that led to the damage, expressing their intent to collaborate with Merseyside Police for a thorough investigation to identify those responsible. The statement warned of severe consequences within the club’s sanction process for any individuals found guilty of such reprehensible behavior.

Liverpool had an opportunity to reclaim the top spot in the table with a win on Sunday evening, having been displaced by Arsenal earlier in the day. On the other hand, Erik ten Hag’s side was facing a decline in the standings.
United, positioned eighth before kick-off, aimed to climb back into the top six of the Premier League table with a victory. However, they faced the challenge without key players such as Bruno Fernandes, Harry Maguire, and Casemiro.
