Police in Wisconsin University are currently investigating how photos and videos of the school’s national champion women’s volleyball team were circulated publicly without their consent.
In a statement issued by Wisconsin’s athletic department, players reported to the university’s police claiming that their videos and images were leaked and they are not aware of how.

According to the Wisconsin State Journal, the photos were taken inside the team’s locker room.
Police said they were currently “investigating multiple crimes, including sharing sensitive photos without consent. The unauthorized sharing is a significant and wrongful invasion of the student-athletes’ privacy, including potential violations of university policies and criminal statutes.”
The photos and videos are believed to have been made after the team won the top 10 title last November. In one of the photos, several team members are said to be wearing sports bras. Images are private and unpublished.

The volleyball team isn’t being investigated for any wrongdoing.
“Our top priority is supporting our student-athletes, and we are providing them with the appropriate services and resources,” Wisconsin’s athletic department said.
