Sweden international Zlatan Ibrahimovic will go doen in history as one of the most prolific strikers of his generation.

At 39, Zlatan is showing no signs of slowing down and has helped his AC Milan side fight for the Serie A title this season with the likes of Inter and Juventus.

A look at his career and the Swede is the modern-day football nomad, having played in Netherlands, Italy, England, France, USA and his native Sweden.

Notice how he has made appearances in nearly all of Europe’s big five leagues, and with big clubs as well.

But there is one particular league where is he conspicuously absent from – the Bundesliga.

That’s right, Ibrahimovic has never played for a German club but he came very close in the past.

Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness.revealed things would have been different for Zlatan had he not had what he described as “god-like” demands.

Turns out at some point in his career, Ibra attracted interest from the German giants but his personal demands were simply too extravagant for Bayern’s liking.

“He’s a great player, but his demands were also god-like,” Hoeness told RTL, as per the Daily Mail.

“We were interested once, but didn’t even get to the main course.”

20-years ago when Zlatan was still a Malmoe FF player, Bayern still had ambitions to sign him but faced similar challenges.

“We had contact with (former sports director of Malmo FF) Hasse Borg,’ Bjorn Andersson told Swedish football website Fotbollskanalen.

“But Bayern said no as it was too much money for a youth player,”
