Inter Milan legend Adriano has reportedly sold his swanky £1.2 Million mansion and has moved straight into a luxury hotel.
The former football superstar, according to reports, now stays at a presidential suite in Grand Hyatt in Barra do Tijuca, an upmarket area in Rio de Janeiro.
Despite his house going for a hefty price, Adriano is yet to find another residence, hence the decision to settle for the suite for now.
According to reports, he is paying a whopping 13,000 euros each month at the hotel.
‘The Emperor’ as he was known in his prime, also reportedly left majority of his belongings at his former house, only moving out with all of his trophies and other personal items.
The hotel he is staying in is located at the upmarket neighborhood of Barra do Tijuca and the Brazilian regularly posts photos of himself and his folks.
As a player, Adriano was one of the most formidable forwards in his prime, and twice ranked sixth in the Ballon d’ Or nominees.
But things took a turn for the worse for the Brazilian after his father’s death which sunk him into depression and alcohol.
“I was alone in Italy, sad and depressed, and then I started drinking. I only felt happy when I was drinking, I’d do it every night. I drank everything I could get my hands on: wine, whiskey, vodka, beer. Lots of beer,” he said in a 2017 interview.
