Togo superstar legend Emmanuel Adebayor stopped by Harambe Stars’ dressing room to share some football wisdom after their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

The former Arsenal player, who is yet to officially announce his retirement from international football, watched the game at Stade de Kégué in Lomé as Togo ended their qualifying campaign without a win. Kenya won 2-1 but didn’t qualify.
Adebayor asked players to respect their careers and focus on growth during the short talk.
“I just want to tell you guys to believe in yourselves, no matter what just give it 100%, you never know what tomorrow is made of, you can become a hero or a villain, put all the chances on your side to become a hero.”
“Good luck as you continue with your careers, we have to wear masks and protect ourselves, if we are not healthy we cannot do our job so you guys have to send the message out there so once again good luck,” said Adebayor.
The 37-year-old has been without a club since July 2020 after parting ways with Paraguay club Olimpia.
His visit followed Liverpool’s forward Mohamed Salah who also dropped by to speak to Kenyan players after their match last Thursday.
