Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner Georgina Rodriguez recently earned plaudits online after contributing towards the treatment of a seven-year old cancer patient.
The young Portuguese lad, identified as Tomas, was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in 2019 and despite responding positively to treatment initially, had a relapse in October 2020.
This prompted his parents to put out a message to anyone willing to help with the hefty payment of the treatment to come forward.
Ronaldo’s boo Georgina’s sister Ivana shared Tomas’ parents’ message on her Instagram in a post which seemed to confirm the Juve forward’s involvement in the noble cause.
“Thank you Georgina and Cristiano for your help, solidarity and great heart. Infinite thanks for helping us so that Tomas can access treatment.” The message reads.

Latest reports suggest Tomas is currently in D’Hebron Hospital for further tests and oncology consultations.
Donations towards the boy’s cancer treatment is only one off Cristiano’s many donations throughout his illustrious career.
In 2020, through his agent, Ronaldo helped purchase medical supplies to help battle COVID-19 in his native Portugal, with his donations estimated to be around £1million.
Being an extremely fit athlete, the 36-year old is also fond of donating his blood.
He is also an ambassador for Save the Children, Unicef and World Vision.
