Sadio Mane and his recently wedded wife, Aisha Tamba, have reportedly decided to forgo their honeymoon plans shortly after their marriage.
Mane has been making headlines throughout the week following his wedding to 18-year-old Tamba in an extravagant ceremony held in the Keur Massar region of Dakar, Senegal. The event, which took place on January 7, was attended by close relatives and friends.
The couple reportedly first met two years ago, and Mane has been actively involved in supporting Tamba’s education.
Initially, the Liverpool legend had planned to embark on their honeymoon after the conclusion of the Africa Cup of Nations in the Ivory Coast.
Moussa Ndiaye, Mane’s best friend, informed Mail Online that Mane intended to utilize the brief period after AFCON for their honeymoon before returning to Al-Nassr, regardless of Senegal’s participation in the February 11 final.

However, Ndiaye disclosed that Tamba’s family intervened, urging her to concentrate on her studies as she has important exams approaching. Tamba is a student at the Cabis School in the Mbao area on the outskirts of Dakar.
The family emphasized the significance of prioritizing education and suggested that there would be ample time for holidays in the future.
Ndiaye also shared the story of how Mane first noticed Tamba in 2020 while he was still with Liverpool, highlighting the 1,000 USD he provided as a dowry.
The Teranga Lions are scheduled to face Cameroon, Gambia, and Guinea in Group C.
