Hummel has released the jerseys that the Danish national team will wear at the 2022 World Cup with a message about the design.
According to the sportswear company, the jersey will be silently protesting against the host of the World Cup 2022, Qatar, which has seen thousands of people die because of its tough rules and regulations.
Hummel said that the jersey would show support for the team and tournament but not the country itself.
“We don’t wish to be visible during a tournament that has cost thousands of people their lives. We support the Danish national team all the way, but that isn’t the same as supporting Qatar as a host nation,” they said in a statement.
