Dell Curry, the former Charlotte Hornets legend and local television game commentator has recently disclosed his second marriage, shedding light on his previously private union.
Prior to this, Curry and his former wife, Sonya, shared a 33-year marriage and raised three children together: Stephen, Seth, and Sydel.
Following a well-publicized and contentious divorce in 2021, Dell Curry embarked on a new chapter in his life, remarrying within a year, and he reports that he’s content with this fresh start.

In an exclusive conversation with The Charlotte Observer, Dell Curry, known for his association with the Charlotte Hornets, provided insight into his second marriage. The wedding, in contrast to his previous high-profile union, was an understated affair that went unnoticed by the media.
“I thought about going to the West Coast. I’m like, ‘Nah, I’m not gonna follow my sons. I’m going to stick it out. Hang here.’ And then, I had friends who introduced me to my wife now. I’d met her a couple of times. We talked on the phone for a month before I laid eyes on her. I’m like: ‘Oh, I like this girl, man. What’s going on here?'”
Even Curry’s children, including the globally renowned superstar Stephen Curry, refrained from sharing photographs of the ceremony, maintaining a veil of privacy around their father’s and stepmother’s newfound happiness.
