Manchester United legend Roy Keane nearly broke the internet on Thursday after fans discovered he had joined Instagram.
The former United captain has never been shy of expressing his dislike for social media and he has often been on record criticizing modern players who concentrate on their lucrative online platforms instead of the game of football.

He seems to have finally come around with his strong comments against social media and this was evident when he created his own account.

And what better way that to announce yourself to the Instagram community than with a cute selfie with your dog because that’s exactly what the Irishman did.
Barely 48 hours after announcing himself on Instagram and Kean is well on his way to a million followers, and his count currently stands at 950k.
His colleagues at Sky Sports could not help but share their excitement when they saw his first selfie on Instagram, with his immediate counterpart Micah Richards commenting, “’He’s here,’ followed by a series of laughing emojis.
Richards then went on his own social media page to confirm that indeed, the new account, which has already been verified, belonged to Roy Keane.
Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright also welcomed Keane to the gram by sharing a photo of the pair with the caption, “’My dear friend has finally joined the Instagram madness.”
