Inter mIlan coach Antonio Conte has apologized for the part he played in a bitter exchange with his former employers Juventus where he seemed to show the Juve President the finger.
In the midweek Coppa Italia match, Juventus knocked out Inter after a 0-0 stalemate in the semi final second leg in Turin.
It was a fiery match where Conte was seen exchanging insults and at one point, raising a finger at his former boss at half time.

The Italian football federation launched an investigation into the incident but Conte, whose Inter side could go top of the pile on Sunday, admitted he was wrong for his actions.
“I think it is right to clarify the episode that happened in the Juventus stadium. Everyone has seen and heard the truth. This is important to me,” Conte said.
“We can be footballers, coaches or presidents, but we are educational role models and we need to remember that. I’m here to apologise. I reacted to insults in the wrong way. I could have done it in another way, perhaps by raising my thumb instead of my middle finger,”
Conte spent three years at Juventus where he won to the Serie A title in each of his full campaigns there.
Following his resignation in 2014, his relationship with Juventus president Agnelli reportedly broke down.
