Global gaming competition ‘Red Bull Campus Clutch‘ has been relaunched in Kenya after a two-year hiatus.
The gaming tournament, which includes students from over 50 countries around the world, is slated to kick off on October 8 and Offline Qualifier on October 15th this year.

Students willing to participate are required to select a team of five and register to compete across two qualifiers. Winners of the two stages will then proceed to National Finals set for October 22, offline.
According to eSports company which hosts the event, the national winners of the competition will walk away with a grand prize of a fully paid trip to the Red Bull Campus Clutch World Finals in Brazil in December, and win themselves Ksh.2.5 million.
“As one of the fastest growing, talked about, and most watched games of 2020, VALORANT broke the “single-day hours watched record in a single game category” with 34 million hours, according to Twitch,” states the company.
“Red Bull Campus Clutch offers a level playing field and a starting point for any up-and-coming VALORANT teams to be recognized on an international circuit.”

In the last competition, Team Step Bro emerged victorious and they are hoping to win it also this year.
“We look forward to taking the national and regional finals and heading to the global stage. That is our goal this year! Getting on the aeroplane to represent Kenya on the global stage, while raising the Kenyan flag,” said Glen one of the team members.
This is the best PC tournament my team and I have entered and if you are wondering if it is worth it? I suggest that you register and let’s meet on the qualifiers.”
