Manchester City right back Kyle Walker is unwilling to take any chances with his own security and has resorted to purchasing a £40,000 guard dog.
This comes amid a series of burglary incidents on football players in the last few months.
The England defender has named the dog Apollo, after Rocky’s boxing rival-turned-friend.

According to a source, the dog is still undergoing training and will be taught how to react to certain words.
Walker is also reportedly determined to protect his family at any cost.
His current residence is in Cheshire, where only a week ago, robbers wielding machetes burst into the home of Everton’s reserve goalkeeper Robin Olsen.
At the time of the incident, 31-year old Olsen was with his wife and kids.
Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti’s home was also raided last month in Merseyside.
Walker sought the services of Chaperone K9, a company which has supplied dogs to a number of superstars including Marcus Rashford and Raheem Sterling.
