A Kenyan student has become the talk of the town after scooping a whopping Ksh 213,978 from a sports betting site with a mere Ksh 10 stake.

Dennis Karanja’s triumph came after successfully predicting the outcomes of four games, an achievement that left him in disbelief when he discovered that all his selections had gone through.

He chose to try his luck on the Play 2 Net betting site, a platform that gained his attention through a promotional video featuring popular comedian Cassy Pool.

The comedian, recently named the official ambassador of https://www.play2net.co.ke, has contributed to the platform’s rising popularity in Kenya.

Expressing his elation, Karanja shared that this marked his first win from a betting site and that he would have the unique experience of holding a significant cash amount—over Ksh 100,000—in hand, which he does not intend to deposit in the bank.

The fortunate student plans to utilize his newfound wealth to cover the school fees for his nephew.

Karanja’s success story is part of a growing trend in Kenya, where individuals are defying the odds and winning substantial amounts from betting sites. Many have credited their victories to seemingly miraculous predictions.

In another recent case that dominated news outlet, a resident of Kawangware walked away with a handsome Ksh 10 million prize after accurately predicting 16 out of 17 events on a betting site.

The individual had the chance to win a staggering Ksh 340 million had the final prediction fallen into place. Such stories continue to fuel the excitement around sports betting in Kenya, showcasing the potential for life-changing wins for those willing to take a chance.
