Liverpool ace Mo Salah has asked for security detail ahad of Egypt’s AFCON qualifier against Harambee Stars.
According to Goal.com, the Egyptian FA requested their Kenyan counterparts to provide their star man with extra security in the form of four bodyguards.
Upon his arrival in the country, Salah was spotted with several bodyguards as he made his way away from the airport.
The four men were assigned to him by the Egyptian embassy in Kenya.
A request was also tabled to have the Egypt national side be escorted by a police motorcade to training as well as to and from the game which takes place at the Moi International Sports centre in Kasarani.
Salah also requested a private suite upon his arrival in Nairobi so he can be able to isolate and minimize his chances of contracting COVID-19.
The last time the 28-year-old was in Africa in November 2020, he had to self-isolate when he returned to the UK after contracting the virus.
He is currently Egypt’s third all-time leading goalscorer with 43 goals from 68 games.
His Egypt side only need a point from their remaining two games to guarantee themselves a place in the Africa Cup of Nations which will take place in Cameroon.
