Stingy Kitu Gani! Look At The Huge Amount Raila Gave Gor After Winning Recent Match

Contrary to rumors suggesting that former Prime Minister Raila Odinga is stingy and seldom donates, recent events tell a different story.

Gor Mahia’s impressive 2-0 triumph over Muhoroni Youth brought an unexpected bonus as they received a Ksh1 million grant from former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

The victory, secured by Benson Omala’s 16th-minute goal and Christopher Ochieng’s 90th-minute contribution, marked Gor Mahia’s return to winning form after two consecutive draws under the guidance of coach Johnathan McKinstry.

The match, held at the Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay, had the Azimio leader in attendance, alongside other dignitaries, including Governor Gladys Wanga. Apparently impressed by the game, Odinga generously awarded Gor Mahia Ksh1 million for their triumph. Muhoroni Youth, too, received recognition in the form of Ksh500,000 from the ODM party leader.

“At the Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay, Gor Mahia and Muhoroni Youth showcased an exceptional game of football this afternoon,” Raila shared on X. “Congratulations to Gor Mahia for a remarkable 2-0 victory, and kudos to Muhoroni Youth for demonstrating a commendable standard of football.”

This marked Gor Mahia’s first league match at the stadium, following its inauguration with a friendly match in the offseason. Odinga, serving as Gor Mahia’s patron, had previously shown appreciation for the club’s outstanding performances, exemplified by his reward of Ksh1.5 million in June for their record-extending 20th FKF Premier League title.

Gor Mahia’s need for the win was evident, especially considering their recent struggles in front of goal, having scored only once in the four matches leading up to Sunday’s encounter.
