Harry Kane, the celebrated England captain and key player for Bayern Munich, has been gifted a brand-new car as part of the club’s enduring partnership with Audi.
The high-performing striker’s remarkable form continued as he scored two goals in a resounding 3-1 victory over Augsburg at the renowned Allianz Arena on Sunday.
Kane’s eventful week was further enriched when he was presented with a new car from Bayern’s sponsors, Audi, on Wednesday.
The German automobile giant, which holds a significant stake in Bayern, has maintained a longstanding tradition of gifting every player a new car each season. This tradition, which has spanned over two decades, remains a remarkable facet of the Bayern-Audi collaboration.

Harry Kane’s Pragmatic Choice Stands Out
A special event in Ingolstadt saw Harry Kane and his teammates, including football luminaries like Thomas Muller, Joshua Kimmich, and Leroy Sane, receive their chosen new vehicles.
Astonishingly, a dozen players, including the aforementioned stars, opted for the prestigious Audi RS e-tron GT, a vehicle valued at approximately $165,000. Notably, Kane departed from the trend, opting for a more practical choice—a black Q8 e-tron valued at around $76,000. His rationale for this selection was centered around the car’s family-friendly features, an apt choice as Kane recently welcomed his fourth child with his wife Katie.
Kane expressed his reasoning, stating, “I decided on a family car. Now that I have four children, I just need the space,” as reported by the Daily Mail.
As part of this distinctive tradition, players are expected to arrive at the Sabener Strasse training facility, matches, and other club-related events in their Audi vehicles.
This adherence to the tradition is exemplified by the anecdote of Kane’s teammate Kingsley Coman, who had reportedly faced a substantial fine two years ago for arriving at training in a Mercedes rather than an Audi, aligning with the club’s established practice.

Adjusting to German Roads and Right-Side Driving Challenges
Driving cars Bentleys, Bugattis and Porches is permitted because they are part of the Volkswagen group who own Audi.
Kane has adapted quickly to life onto the pitch but he has admitted some difficulty when it comes to driving.
“I’ve already tried [driving in Germany], but of course not with the new car,” Kane told BILD.
“I’ll slowly get used to the fact that the steering wheel is on the other side. So far I haven’t had a crash, that’s a positive thing.”
