Francis Ngannou, one of the top heavyweights in the UFC, has announced that he will be leaving the organization to pursue other opportunities.

Ngannou, who is known for his powerful striking and knockout ability, has been a fan favorite since joining the UFC in 2015. He quickly made a name for himself in the heavyweight division, earning several highlight-reel knockouts and earning a title shot in 2018.

His departure was also confirmed by Dana White, the CEO of UFC.

“Francis has been an incredible fighter for us,” White said. “He’s had some amazing performances in the octagon and has been a big part of the heavyweight division. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”
