Serie A giants Juventus have reportedly set their sights on selling Cristiano Ronaldo for a discounted price of £24 million.
Ronaldo was snapped up for a fee of £99 million back in 2018 and has been worth every penny, bagging 92 goals in 101 appearances for The Old Lady.
With Juve, Cristiano has won the Serie A twice but has struggled in the Champions League, despite his reputation of being one of the most lethal players in the competition.
His latest outing in Europe’s elite competition saw his Juventus side bow out at the hands of FC Porto, who qualified on the away goals rule.
As per Corriere dello Sport, via Football Italia,Juventus would not mind offloading Cristiano in the hopes of recouping a minimum of £24.
This is in a frantic bid to avoid being shortchanged in the long run, with Ronaldo’s contract set to run out in 2022.
“Fortunately, there is still a year on Ronaldo’s contract, so we have time to talk to him. That’s not a priority right now.” Juventus’ Chief Football Officer Fabio Paratici said when asked about Cristiano’s future with the club.
Further reports from Spain indicate Cristiano immensely misses Real Madrid and is keen on a move back to the Santiago Bernabeu.
