Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson’s father is dead.
Jose Becker passed away after drowning in a lake near his holiday home in Brazil.
Local police say the 57-yead old was swimming in a dam near his property on Wednesday, February 22.
He was declared missing around 5pm and massive search was launched with the help of the Fire Department of Cacapava do Sul.

His body was eventually recovered at midnight, with authorities confident there was no foul play involved in his death.
Brazilian club Internacional FC, where Alisson began his professional career, has since released a statement condoling with their former star.
“It is with great sadness that we received the news of Jose Agostinho Becker’s death, the father of our ex-goalkeepers Alisson and Muriel,” the statement said.
Another Brazilian club, Sao Paolo, also released a statement saying, “With much regret, Sao Paulo FC receives the sad news of the death of José Agostinho Becker, father of goalkeepers Alisson and Muriel. Our condolences and solidarity with the two athletes and their families. A lot of strength and a lot of light at this point.”
