AC Milan Star Donates €10,000 To His Home Village In Croatia

AC Milan star Ante Rebic showed off his philanthropic side after donating £8,000 to help autistic children in local area of Slavonski Brod.

Rebic is considered a hero in his native Croatia not only for his football, but his generosity as well.

The 27-year old, who hails from Donji Vinjan, once paid off debts of up to 500 villagers.

“He has never forgotten about his roots, although he moved to the Fiorentina, Italy when he was 19 years old,” his best friend Lovro Šindik said, as quoted by Croatian media.

One of his latest noble gestures involved donating €10,000 to help in the building of a new facility for the upbringing of children in Slavonski Brod.

This will be achieved through the Golden Sequin Centre, a non-profit organization which seeks to work with children with disabilities and autism.

As a football player, Rebic has also enjoyed some degree of success on the big stage.

He was part of the Croatia side which made it to the World Cup final in 2018 and has had stints at Fiorentina, Eintracht Frankfurt and is now embroiled in an intense battle for the Serie A title with his AC Milan side.
